The Coupé is based on the floor pan of the SIMCA 1000 4-door sedan. It´s one of the early sentsational designs by designer Giorgetto Giugaiaro, who was 24 years old at that time. The car was built entirely in Italy at BERTONE. Giorgetto Giugaiaro's drawing board produced countless designs for Alfa, Fiat, Ferrari, Maserati, etc. He is responsible for the BMW M1 and the Golf 1.

Between 1962 and 1966, 10.400 SIMCA 1000 Coupes left the BERTONE factory in Turin. The body shape, the complete instrumentation with round instruments and the interior show typical Italian car design of the sixties. The SIMCA 1200S Coupé replaced the 1000 Coupoé in 1967. It was also built in large numbers until the year 1972.

The history:

A s a new car this SIMCA stood for sale at the SIMCA saloon Zürich/CH since May 4, 1966 and was sold on July 7, 1967. The first owner maintained it for more than thirty years. After a second owner, also in Switzerland, the coupé came to Germany. It can be proven that it has a total mileage of less than 50,000 km.
